The original Mustang tops are classic two piece sets and their installation requires that the rear window section be applied first and separately followed by the main portion of the top. Installation manual the manual is an illustrated guide to installing the Mustang top.
In this version our factory has pre integrated the window and main top into a single unit. The staples will work with any popular air gun and are stainless steel please inquire if you prefer to use an electric staple gun.
The top has an integrated 40 gauge dot approved plastic rear window and the fabric is oem Hertz Chrysler sailcloth vinyl as original. If you are comfortable using an air driven staple gun and aligning fabric and matching frame components for contact cementing and carefully following technical instructions you should be able to join our many first time installers. This Ford Mustang top package has been designed to allow very doable installation by the handy first time installer.
This retrofit design makes the installation easier. There is no sewing involved.
This is the way the 2005 and later Mustangs were re designed. The glue is the trade trimmer contact cement and includes the brush. Here is what is included the top in your choice of color.
